School Stories

September is over and what a month it has been, summer 2019 has come to an end and we are settling the little ones into their new routines.  My Little boy, embarked on his biggest adventure to date – staring school.  It’s been somewhat emotional for Mama here – but I think the little fella has taken it in his stride and thankfully settling well.

Over Summer we shared some useful tips to get school ready – one of which was reading books/literature on starting school, as well as developing a pattern of getting our children to try to tell the story back to us.

We found some books that we really loved and read over and over again – and again!  We are still working on retelling/recalling stories back – but I’m sure we will get there soon.

How did you get on and what are some of your starting school favourite reads?  I hope your child has enjoyed the first few weeks of their new school and that you are coping well with all the new changes.

Here’s to new adventures and of course some familiar story book characters.

Best Wishes
