Autumn Favourites!
The summer holidays are well and truly over and the children are settling back into school, in ‘the new normal’ of doing things. Despite what might be going on in the world, the seasons still change and life still moves on. Slowly saying goodbye to summer – we begin to welcome in the ‘Fall’ season. It’s almost, almost time to retreat indoors and enjoy the autumnal pleasures. One of those being warm and cosy autumn meals - Yum Yum!
Meal times are so important, not only for the obvious fuel and nourishment it provides – but also the benefits of eating together as a family. Whether that’s a family of 2, 4 or 10 – having that set time together helps strengthen relationships, builds self-esteem and helps establish good eating habits.
Here at Little Ellen we love meal times. We have carefully selected a range of beautiful tableware sets that we think would be a lovely addition to any dinner table. We particularly love our Bamboo Dinner sets which not only come complete with Dinner plate, cutlery and matching cups – but come in a range of colourful, fun designs.
Why Bamboo?
Well, not only does it look great (check out the great designs), but no harmful chemicals are used to create bamboo tableware, so it’s safe and non-toxic.
The very nature of Bamboo means that it is durable, so those constant drops and washing is not a problem for this material.
Being the fastest growing plant on the earth makes it Eco-friendly and biodegradable. Bamboo is just great for the environment in general, from efficiently storing carbon and generating vast amounts of Oxygen, to protecting biodiversity and endangered wildlife.
If you haven’t seen yet, we would love to show off some of the Bamboo dinnerware sets we have available at www.littleellen.co.uk All the products are natural, long lasting, reusable and untimely fully sustainable for our planet.
To wrap it up and just for fun, we thought we’d share some of our kid’s meal favourites for the ‘Cooler’ month months ahead:
Spaghetti Bolognese
Chilli Con Carne (easy on the chilli)
Lasagne
Shepherd’s pie
Baked potatoes
Chicken or veg curry
Sausages and mash
Lentil soups
We would love to hear some of your kid’s favourite ‘cosy’ meals – do share in our comments section below.
Enjoy,
